    Description

    *Manufacturer Refurbished* IAI Intelligent Linear
Actuators with THK SR15 Linear Rails,
    Japan Servo Motor & Encoder,
    16mm dia
Ballscrew, 2:1 Gear Ratio, & Brake.
*Auction price is for 1 unit, I have 3 available*
These are refurbished IAI linear actuator in perfect working condition.
All of the major components appear to be brand new, including
the THK linear rails, ballscrew, servo motor, brake, etc. There are
minor scratches and scuff marks on some of the exterior
    covers
that are purely cosmetic and do not affect the performance at all.
These are heavy-duty Z-axis spindle lifts with two THK SR15 linear
rails that are approx 16" long, each rail has two bearings (4 bearings total).
The ballscrew is 16mm dia. x 16mm pitch and has a fresh coat of grease on it,
    at
    the base of the ballscrew
there is an electric brake/clutch (see 'Brake note' below).
The motor is a Japan Servo 100watt, 3000rpm, 40v servo motor with encoder, it
is attached to the ballscrew with a belt / pulley drive with a 2:1 ratio.
Dimensions of the actuator (not including servo motor or gear assembly)
are approx. 18" long x 5-1/4" wide x 3-1/4" high. The slide carriage
is approx. 4" wide x 5-1/2" long, rated travel is 250mm (9.84") but
the actual travel is approx. 258mm (10-3/16"). Overall dimensions
    of
the entire actuator assembly are approx. 19-5/8" long x 9-3/8" wide (at
servo motor)  x 3-1/2" high. The entire assembly weighs 20lbs 3ozs.
*Brake note: This actuator has an electric brake that is normally
engaged with no power applied, which means you will not be
able to turn the ballscrew unless you first disengage the brake
by using an appropriate power source. Or, if you do not want to
use the brake, you can add some 1/4" spacers between the brake
    mounting
plate and the ballscrew end-support bearing housing.
I plan on using one of these actuators for a CNC router that I am
building and I didn't want to use the brake so I bought some nylon
spacers and longer bolts. Please let me know if you would like me
to disengage the brake on your actuator, and I will add the spacers
at no additional charge. I will also send you the original bolts, in case
you decide to remove the spacers so you can use the brake.*
This is a heavy-duty, high precision linear actuator, and
would make a very nice Z-axis for CNC router or Plasma table.
