Vehicle Details
The ultimate combination of a custom 4-door 40 series Land Cruiser coupled with the bulletproof Land Cruiser 80 series engine, drivetrain, and triple locked, coil sprung solid axles! My friends refer to it as the “40/80”. Regardless of what you call, it is a fantastic rig and a joy to drive on and off road.
The chassis, engine, and drivetrain are largely stock from a 1995 80 series Land Cruiser with an aluminum 40 series style body made by Aqualu.
The rebuilt engine and the overall build have ~2,900 miles, 1,000 of which I have added in the last 6 months. The engine and transmission were rebuilt at the time the build was completed. The vehicle and the chassis are clean and rust free.
Following is a summary of additional details of the build:
-Drivetrain was regeared with 4.88 Sierra gears to accommodate the larger 35” tires (on 17” inch Level 8 wheels). It cruises comfortably at 75 mph, and will do 90 of you need it to. It still crawls like a goat, especially in low range.
-RCV 300M alloy front axles shafts
-Nitro Cro-Moly rear axle shafts
-Aisin free wheeling hub kit in the front axle, allowing you to run the vehicle in 2WD
-Slee Off Road adjustable panhard rods
-Heavy duty rear trailing arms
-Custom rock sliders
-Drilled and slot rotors in all 4 corners
-DynaDeck flooring throughout
-4 Corbeau reclining bucket seats with a matching rear bench
-Lockable Tuffy center console
-Lockable storage box in the tailgate
-Dakota Digital guages
-LED headlights and side markers
-Nardi steering wheel (w/ a NRG Innovations quick release to remove the steering wheel)
-Lokar shifter
-A/C and heat are fully functional
-The soft top is complete and the material and the windows are in great condition. The full soft top enclosure is not shown in the pictures due to the limited number of pictures I can include in the eBay listing.
