    Description

    Activated carbon info
Activated carbon is a material based on natural raw materials, which, thanks to its porous structure and the resulting extremely large internal surface, binds chemical compounds and molecules. Activated carbon is traditionally used in many processes in the chemical industry. Due to its high adsorptive properties, it is mainly used for cleaning exhaust air, drinking and waste water as well as in food technology, pharmacy and chemistry.
    Original Carbonit
Carbonit filter cartridges are consistently manufactured without additives (e.g. silver) and are subject to permanent, external monitoring by the LGA Bavaria, a company of the TÜV Süd Group. By dispensing with additives, the manufacturer defines a purity requirement that exceeds the strict German food law.
Only original Carbonit filter cartridges offer a functional promise and the reassuring feeling of using high-quality and monitored products.

    Service life, maintenance, filter change
A service life of 6 months is recommended throughout Europe. In addition to the statements of din 1988, the epdwa guidelines, the HKI recommendations and the findings of various dindin EN 14898 and DVGW worksheet W 513 must be taken into account. Any foreign approvals (e.g. ANSI NSF) have no relevance in this country and do not correspond to the recognized rules of technology.
Basically, 5,000 liters of water can be filtered within the 6 months. However, it may need to be changed earlier if the water flow is noticeably reduced. An early change is not a defect in the filter used, but an indication of the increased occurrence of fine particles in the unfiltered water.
    Warning notices
For technical reasons, use is only permitted with cold water, protect from frost. Recommended filter change every 6 months.
    Filter cartridges are wearing parts.
