This is Version # 1B  with the basic red light and improved PCB board like all my models
this one  has, is some 1 added float feature:
The float will disable itself temporarily when moving left or right - This reduces the power use and strain on the power lines and reduces digging into gravel when angling.

Usually the problem it is a bad ground issue. The old controllers can function with a bad or no ground. These will not.

If you have the old model where the joystick handle locks back for float, you will need to modify the clip in the case by bending it or better off, removing it.  You may also need one addition part.
SOME PLUSSES:
My switches are 10 amp (the originals are 5amp) My main on/off switch uses 4 contacts instead of two .. my power wires are stranded copper instead of tin coated copper. The Copper traces on my custom made circuit board are wider than the originals which allows them to handle more power.
(this can be seen in the fourth picture which shows a Chinese made original on the right and mine on the left)
.  The boards traces are coated with green anti arc and anticorrode sealer- .  The wires on this one are longer than the originals. it is around 18". Main power and motor systems are fuse protected. The float relay has a higher amp rating than the originals. Plug pins are gold plated to reduce the affect of corrosion.
Recently added features:
More enclosed power switch that has a slightly longer handle
Dedicated relay for the motor solenoid - This reduces the power going through the up,left and right switches and through the 2 diodes and this will extend the life of the switches.
Includes a new red led bulb cover, dust ring and rubber or plastic handle

the ones with bypass switches require a slight DIY modification to the case. These can also be gotten without the bypass switch. Just need to decide which float to use (instant float or tap for partial down and hold for 1/2 second to get float)
