Over the last two+ years we've tested these in high power applications without a single failure.  We like them much,
much
better than the old Andrew 44ASP UHF Male connectors.  The FSJ4-50B Superflex (or equivalent) center conductor inserts into one way locking tabs in the center nose pin of the PL259, the outer nut securely tightens onto the the threaded spiral corrugated copper shield.
More center pin contact area with UHF PL259 connectors than Type N Male.
