old House Shutter Latch 1860’s extra long slide bolt 11 1/8 X 2 5/8” rustic iron
    This extra long
    l
atch came off a house shutter and has a great vintage look.
It would look great on a garden shed, a rustic jelly cupboard, a cabinet and all sorts of furniture.
Use it on a barn or house shutters for a rustic historic look.
SIMILAR latches have a patent date on it for
    SEPT 18 1860
    and
    APRIL 29 1861.
This latch has a locking lever to keep the slide bolt from moving back and forth.
The latch was stripped of all the layers of paint so it is ready for you to paint or leave it as it is.
There is a small amout of rust on the cast iron.
    The latch is 11 1/8 X 2 5/8" wide.
