This listing is for a single Radio Shack’s 20-047 USB Programming cable with the 3.5mm 1/8" Mono connector, no adapter.  You can also purchase my 20-546 cable but you will have to use the stereo to mono adapter that comes with that cable.

No programming software is sold with this cable.  You will also need to purchase Programming software that only runs on Windows to program your scanner.
Being able to program your scanner using a spreadsheet style of user interface, albeit sometimes a bit primitive, can make your life so much easier.  I am KJ6ZWL and I know from experience that this is true.
With the right software you can download frequency data from the internet to your computer and then download into your scanner using this cable.  You can also enter your frequency data manually. Download subscriptions are really critical to making the programming process easy.
I recommend you get trial version of the programming software before you buy and make sure it supports downloading public frequencies from the Internet.
I offer 1 year warranty on the cable if and only if you don’t mess with it. I don’t send you to China if you have a problem. Yes the cables are assembled and tested in China. I don’t make these in my garage.
