Nice vintage unused match book from the Naval Training Center ADMIRAL KIDD COMMISSIONED OFFICER'S MESS. On the inside it is congratulating San Diego on its 200th anniversary (1769 to 1969) which means this cover goes back 50 years. This is a nice part of California history; not only because of it mentioning the 200th anniversary but because this place was named to honor Rear Admiral Kidd , a Medal of Honor recipient who was killed on the USS Arizona December 7, 1941. I have been sending single match books by regular mail to save on shipping cost, however, the post office just changed the rules and now I have to use larger envelopes.
