Scarce Vintage Sterling Silver Connecticut National Guard Faithful Service Medal

Up for bid is this Scarce Vintage Sterling Silver Connecticut National Guard Faithful Service Medal. It was made by the Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. It's scarce because usually these medals were made in bronze or brass and not sterling silver. This medal is 3 1/2" in length and 1 1/2" in width. The pin backing, the ribbon itself and the short, rectangular 10 year ribbon aren't made of sterling, but the heavy medal part as well as the larger eagle ARE made of sterling and are both marked as such. Both pieces test positive for sterling silver also. Total weight of this sterling medal and eagle is a whopping 46.3 grams (minus the ribbon and pin backing)! It is a substantial piece. This is a military award and a piece of jewelry that has loads of history behind it and worthy of addition to any serious collection.

Payment: Only Paypal is accepted. Quick payment is preferred, but payment is expected within 7 days at the very latest (per eBay policy). The cost of doing business is high and time is precious also, so we do have to file an unpaid item claim with eBay for buyers that do not pay within the 7 day payment period. Shipping/Handling Cost: Always reasonable shipping costs and we don't charge a "handling fee". We always aim for actual shipping cost and do not profit from shipping. Many times, our cost is higher than what we've charged you. Boxes/envelopes, tape, packing materials and paper and ink etc., etc. DO cost a lot of money.
