    I have had this machine for over 10+ years.  It got me through school, and I passed the CSR Exam with it.  It needs a new battery pack as the battery attached no longer holds a charge without the charger being plugged in at all times.  Works great, and I have always had it serviced with the Steno Doctor (located in Orange, CA).  The ribbons included will need to be inked before use (until you can purchase new ribbons), and the carrying case is in good shape, however, one side of it is scratched up due to my cat using it as a scratching post (see pic), but there are no holes whatsoever.
