Vintage Mexico Sterling Large Mask Face Pin Black Obsidian/Onyx Shield Shape
Beautiful sculptured vintage mask face pin in a shield shape, an elegant piece! Sterling scrolls on a solid back frame and the piece does not use the cheaper prong set, but is carved to the shape and set in a 'frame'.
The stone is either obsidian or onyx but I have shown in one photo, the slightly see-through nature of the stone, so possibly obsidian or even black labradorite. It has a tiny chip on the forehead, but being a possibly warrior this doesn't take away from the beauty of the piece. It is 2" long x 1.75" at the widest. It is marked 925 and Mex DF (Distrito Federal - The federal district of Mexico City).
