Vintage Old Mexican Modernist Sterling Silver Sacred Ancient Spiral Cuff Links.
This is a unique old vintage pair of Mexican Modernist sacred spiral sterling silver cuff links which feature whaleback toggles with rotating arms for ease of use. They can be dated to approximately 1948. The sterling silver retains the patina of age. We did not polish these as we feel it only enhances the spiral design. Should the buyer choose to polish them they would present with a much brighter silver patina. These are a wonderful older set and are stamped sterling and with a patent pending # for the moveable arm feature. The toggle of each cuff link is stamped PAT.2472958. This US patent was granted in 1949 to Jacob M. Oldak, a jewellery designer from Brooklyn, New York.
